What does the three-day cooling-off period for the buyer entail precisely?

Under Dutch law, the buyer has three days in which to carefully consider the concluded purchase. This means that the buyer may decide not to go through with the purchase without having to give a valid reason for doing so. The cooling-off period starts as soon as the buyer has received a copy of the purchase agreement signed in full by both parties. Weekends or public holidays are not counted as part of this cooling-off period. The estate agent must clearly indicate the end date of the cooling-off period.
